Frequently Asked Questions

Where will my portraits be shot?

The shooting location will be decided according to the needs of the client and geography.. Typically, for a family portrait, it would be a local or central place such as a park.

Can we have the portraits done at our house or local park?

Yes, these are the preferred options

How long will the shoot take?

Most shoots are about 60-90 minutes.

What happens if it rains?

If the weather is looking bad, there will be a back-up plan in place. Some of the best shoots have been when the weather is not perfect.

What if we have to cancel do I lose my sitting fee?

No. We just re-schedule the shoot for a more convenient time

How long do I have to wait to see the photos?

Shoots can be viewed at the studio within a week.

When I have placed an order, how long do I have to wait to receive my order?

This depends on the size of the order and whether there are such things as canvas or framing involved.

Do you frame photos?

Yes, we provide a fully professional framing service.

Do you retouch all the photos?

Not all photos will be retouched as some don't require it. Any questions about retouching should be directed to Robert.

Can I have photos in black and white?

Yes, all photos are shot in colour but any photo can be converted to black and white or sepia.

What will the total cost of the shoot be including photos?

A very hard question! The sitting fee is $165, then you buy your prints after that.

Do you have set packages? We don't have packages but we can work out something for you according to your budget and needs.

What should I/we wear?

This depends a lot on what sort of shoot we are doing. For families and couples I suggest people wear what they are comfortable in and avoid reds and pinks as they are very dominant colours and those people will tend to stand out more. For kids, always a good idea to bring an extra set.
